The First™ Residential range is ideal for expansive openings where views and indoor/outdoor connections can be fully developed. Smooth flowing sliding doors and bi-fold doors ease access to entertainment and relaxation areas.
For specialist applications, where the aluminium joinery may comprise sliding doors and bi-fold doors up to 2.4 metres high, the First™ Metro Series range of premier windows and doors is a cost effective choice placed between the residential suite and the top of the range Architectural Series.
The Architectural Series has been developed with aesthetic unity in mind, with similar looks and lines for windows and doors and common frame edges to simplify architectural detailing. The design allows for large formats and sizes increasingly favoured by architects, whose imagination can require sliders to be stacked over walls or moved out of sight into wall cavities.
French doors, hinged doors and bi-folds can be 2.7 metres high combined with fixed lights, raking windows and casement sashes. The dimension of the window frames (106mm and 158mm) allow for exceptional sized feature windows and entrances to maximize views, function and aesthetic impact.
Thermally efficient aluminium joinery options
The Thermal Heart™ option of thermally efficient aluminium joinery combats cold and condensation with a thermal break which isolates the exterior aluminium from the interior. This dramatically reduces the transmission of cold from the outside, along with double glazing which would be standard with this choice of joinery. Double glazing to a thickness of 31mm is possible, however 24mm double glazing is typically used as standard.
